Amid continued research showing the impact of COVID-19 on people with cancer, patients are asking when they should get a COVID-19 vaccine. Most health care providers ​are familiar with triage, the careful and intentional orchestration of patient care to ensure that those who have the most severe injuries or illnesses get care quickly and appropriately. This routine health care practice has taken on added complexity as many hospitals and other care facilities continue to struggle with a COVID-19 surge, all at the same time as COVID-19 vaccines are beginning to become available.
